Academic Degrees and Education
01.03.2003 – 14.03.2007: Doctoral degree of Philosophy (Dr. phil.). Specialization on Human-Computer Interaction. Doctoral theses: “DIY-HCI: Do-It-Yourself Human-Computer Interaction” (Passed with distinction). Main supervisor: Prof. Manfred Tscheligi, Department of Computer Science and Head of the HCI & Usability Unit at the ICT&S Center and second supervisor: Prof. Wolfgang Hofkirchner, Department of Communication Science and Professor for Internet & Society.
01.10.1998 – 23.10.2002: Master (Mag. phil.) in Communication Science and Political Science at the University of Salzburg, Austria. Title: “Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in a techno-social context” (Passed with distinction). Certified recognition of the Austrian degree in Italy as a doctoral degree in Communication Science by the Free University of Bolzano, Italy (14.05.2004).
01.09.1993 – 13.07.1998: High school graduation as “Management specialist” at the South Tyrol Faculty for Business and Tourism „Robert Gasteiner“ in Bozen and Brixen, Italy.
09.1985 – 07.1993: Basic Education (primary and secondary school) in South Tyrol, Italy.
